Horses are not stabled at the Club; members bring their horses to the Club from one of many local stables or private barns within walking distance of the Club: Stables in Southlands — SOUTHLANDS RIDING CLUB
Our riding facilities are available daily from 6:00am until 9:00pm.
-
We don’t have horses available for the public to ride.
Some of our club-sanctioned instructors offer lesson horses. They can also help you find a horse for purchase or lease if that is of interest to you. Check out the page here: Lessons & Info
-
Beginners are always welcome! As well, many of the surrounding stables and barns in Southlands have riding rings on their property; these are often where riders are introduced to the sport. Once riders have gained the basics of the sport, they may wish to take advantage of the wonderful facilities the Club offers - either on their own or with one of our Club Instructors.
-
Most of our Club instructors offer introductory and beginner-level lessons on suitable horses/ponies at smaller barns around the community.
Those with lesson horses (marked with ** on the list) will teach beginners.
The Instructor list is here: Instructors
-
Check out the Club sanctioned instructors on their page here: Instructors.
Contact them directly to inquire about lessons. Each instructor is shown with their specialty (Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, etc)
-
Your instructor - whether at the Club or off-site - will provide you with guidance on what equipment is mandatory for your lessons. For most, this will include an approved riding helmet and boots with a heel.
Just minutes from the Club you’ll find Greenhawk Vancouver with a huge selection of equestrian products and essentials.
-
Unfortunately, the Club does not have stabling on site. Check out this page for local barns and resources: Southlands Stables

We do not offer pony rides at SRC, however we do recommend that you go to Maynard’s Pony Meadows & Southlands Heritage Farm located right around the corner from SRC.
