CANCELLED - BIOMECHANICS FOR RIDERS WORKSHOP
FRIDAY JUNE 2, 2023
2:00PM to 6:00PM - SRC Clubhouse
Groundwork for the rider - an exploration in movement for the equestrian
This workshop will focus on improving movements through exploration in various body configurations on the floor. The rider’s groundwork! When do you take the time to take care of your own groundwork? The strategies taken are developed by the ingenious Dr. Feldenkrais a mechanical & electrical engineer who throughout a lifetime of curiosity towards human behaviour and functioning emerged in the 20th century as a pioneer in applying his understanding of neuroscience, physics, and biomechanics with the intent to learn and breaking through our habits. This type of approach may change the way you experience and understand your body and open avenues towards improving your life, sense of physical confidence and safety and, of course, your riding.
Please bring a yoga mat, a blanket, a large bath towel (for propping the body) and comfortable clothing (nothing too tight).
Any questions can be answered by writing an email to info@fairviewosteo.com
