Southlands Valentine’s Play Day

Unfortunately, due to a flooding in the Indoor Ring, we took the difficult decision to cancel the Play Day this coming Sunday. Unfortunately, because we want to keep it safe and fun for the kids, hosting it in another ring is not an option. We apologize for the inconvenience and are looking forward to the St Patrick’s Play Day on March 20th.
Our Playdays are schooling shows with a flexible format to encourage riders of all ages and stages to get into the ring and challenge their skills. The events are meant to be community-based, fun and formative: low cost, low stress, safe and lots of fun.
Have two riders on the same horse or pony wanting to ride the same classes? Not a problem - let our staff know and we can always split the classes to accommodate. Our goal is to get as many riders in the ring as possible to experience the fun of showing!
ONLINE/PAPER PRE-REGISTRATION HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Late entry fee ($10) after Saturday at 12pm
Late registration desk ($10 late fee) opens at 9:00am on Sunday.
All class in Indoor Arena - Leadline & Costume $5.00/Class - All others $10.00/Class

ASSISTED RIDER: Rides on leadline or has a side walker/handler in the ring with them
UNASSISTED RIDER: Shows at walk and trot only; must be able to ride fully unassisted
JUNIOR: 12 & under
INTERMEDIATE: Ages 13-17
SENIOR: Ages18 -49
GOLDEN: Ages 50+
*Depending on numbers, classes may be combined or split*
No Club membership is required to participate in Playdays Shows.
All riders MUST have current HCBC.
Haul-in at no cost (day stalls available for purchase; contact the office for details)
Pre-registration REQUIRED (online or paper before Saturday at 12pm); sign up at the gate available with a late fee ($10).
