FIND THE SWEET SPOT OF HEALTHY BIOMECHANICS
3-Days Dressage Naturally Clinic with
Licenced Instructor Michelle Young
The Sweet Spot clinic is based on Dressage Naturally’s signature concepts and the most popular DN online course. It is an information packed three day learning progression. Students will benefit from theory, discussions, simulations, on line sessions, and of course riding. If you want to learn new ways to work with your horse to find a place of cooperation, ease, and biomechanical freedom, this clinic is for you!
During the clinic, Michelle will guide you through helpful exercises both with and without your horse to help find the places you might be getting stuck in your progress. Michelle treats each student and horse as an individual and is one of the reasons her clinics have an eight rider maximum, allowing for a more intimate experience with plenty of time for questions and one on one attention. Michelle is passionate about helping you create more connection, understanding and healthy movement with your horse!
The Sweet Spot Clinic will be a small group clinic that includes theory, on the ground simulations, on line groundwork with the horses and under saddle lessons. This clinic is for any and all types of rider disciplines and is for anyone who is interested in having a horse that is easier to ride, improving their handling and riding skills, and developing a partnership of both physical and mental ease with their horse.
What is covered in the clinic:
How to combine the principles of dressage and natural horsemanship to give you the best of both worlds.
How to create healthy biomechanics while strengthening the partnership you have with your horse.
How to cause your horse to be relaxed, energized, balanced, and free moving on line and under saddle.
How to improve your position without building or creating tension in you or your horse.
How to find a positive connection through the reins.
How to trust your instincts, learn independently, and become a more confident learner.
Prerequisites:
Able to walk and trot safely and comfortably on your horse (preferably canter as well).
Horse and rider are comfortable to be in a group learning environment.
Able to safely lead and lunge your horse at a minimum of walk and trot.
