This is a great opportunity to practise riding a test in a low-pressure environment with immediate feedback from the judge; pick a western dressage or regular dressage test! You will receive your score and a verbal feedback from the judge immediately following your ride.

**ONLY ONE TEST PER RIDER** in order to welcome as many riders as possible! If more spots are available we will let you know closer to the date.

HOW IT WORKS: you have 20 minutes in the dressage ring. First, you ride your test then the judge will provide you immediate verbal feedback right after. If there is time you can redo some movements as agreed with the judge.

Rules & General Information +

• All riders will be charged regardless of whether they ride; no refunds or credits issued.
• 20-minute time periods must be respected; no additional time or make-up for late arrival.
• Current HCBC membership and SRC Waiver required.
• Formal dressage attire not required: riders must be clean, tidy and presentable. Protective Headwear: Anyone mounted on a horse on Southlands Riding Club property and/or lunging a horse must wear approved helmets, with safety harness correctly fastened.
• No need to braid your horse: just make sure he or she is healthy and clean. However, this is a good opportunity to practise. :-)
• Lunging: Lunging is only permitted in designated lunging rings. No lunging at any time in any of the other arenas/rings.
• Haul-in allowed. Day stall available for a fee. FOR SAFETY REASON AND CONSIDERATION OF YOUR FELLOWS EXHIBITORS, trailer access to haul-in area will be restricted to prior to 8:45 am and during coffee/lunch break.

Covid-19 Requirements +

• Each rider may bring a maximum of two (2) people on foot to observe (trainer, groom/family member) ; if under the age of 16, one (1) person MUST be at least 18 years of age and able to serve as guardian in the event of an accident.
• Masks optional only when riding.
